We recently found out that Michael suffers from allergies. We went to the doctor last week because Michael was, once again, sick with throwing up and had bad headaches. Michael has been sick alot more this year and more often than Austin, Katelyn & Abbygale. Our family doctor said that his ear had fluid in it and had blood work done to see if his blood count was leveled and wasn't anemic and gave him antibiotics but couldn't figure out why he had headaches. So she recommended us to see an ENT (Ear/Nose/Throat) doctor. We saw the ENT Monday and come to fin out Michael had a sinus infection, ear infection, throat was swollen and has allergies. WOW! Michael never complained of any symptoms. So, now we are on a stronger antibiotic and steroids (Im not at all happy with steroids but, it's only for 4 days). We go back on April 6th for a check up to see if things are ok with him then we go back on the 14th for allergy testing. After we determine what allergy(s) he suffers from...I will follow the natural remedy route to treat Michaels symptom(s). I can not stand all those meds running through my kids systems. So I'll keep updates and helpful tips posted!
FYI to ALL: I was told during Michael's dr visit that if you have a sore throat for more than 2 days to see a doctor immediately (especially young ones) because all that bacteria and infection goes straight to your heart and can cause damage to your heart and kidneys in the long run.
SCHOOL:
Austin is a few points away from an A in one subject from making the "A" honor roll this 9 weeks! I have a few teacher recommendations for Austin to take special classes next school year!!!
Michael is above and beyond 1st grade academic level! His teacher is very impressed with him and told me that he is among the few in her class that catch on very quick! Next school year we could look at possible advancements!
Katelyn is also doing very well in school! Had a conference with her teacher last week and Katelyn is above and beyond the Pre-K academic level!
Abbygale is learning more and more each day! She turns 2 in May and talks & understands like she's 3...i think! She will mimic your word into the exact syllables the word has and attempts to say the word too! She's 34 inches tall and weighs 30 lbs.
On the home front...we are very excited and are looking forward to buying our first home!! We've got the ground work done and before we know it, well be moved! We hope to be out of our current house by the beginning of summer. Im keeping my fingers crossed!!
