Happy 12th Birthday, Austin!

We didn't have a "party" for Austin at our house this time...we did plan for one but it was a little crazy with the weekends with all the October & November birthdays being so close together in the Hicks family...Katelyn 10-21, Austin 10-28, Nathan 10-30, Megan 11-4 & Eric 11-5...Me, Kim & Lori decided to have Austin's, Nathan's, Megan's & Eric's all together at Kim's house this weekend! They are all going to be Austin: 12, Nathan: 19, Megan: 17 & Eric: 18. Instead of having 3 back to back weekends of gatherings...this was a little easier for all of us! So, this Sunday I'll have a lot more pictures to post of the party and Halloween! The plan is to have a bonfire in the backyard, a bunch of YUMMY finger foods and sundaes!...and, of course, cake!!!

Our weather up her has been a lot colder than I remember from the last 2 years...it's 44* right now at 10am. Last year around Halloween we were still having 70/80* days and so far this month we have had about 4 days in the 80's and that was at the beginning of the month. Our summer, we only had 3 days over/near 100* compared to last summer we had 30+ days over/near 100*. Our high today is going to be in the low 50's. We actually had some sleet yesterday!

Tonight is going to be below freezing. My plants are already covered!! We are hoping to have a white Christmas this year! This Friday Katelyn has no school and I'll be taking part in a one hour participation group for Pre-K parents doing a workshop while Abbygale and Katelyn get to play together with other children at the school! Should be fun! Well, gotta run and do some more house cleaning! Have a great week and weekend!!!
