HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

4th of July we went over to my father n laws house...took the kids swimming, ate pizza hung out then we shot off our fireworks!

Michael is to the point that he doesn't want his floaties anymore and actually trusts us to teach him to swim...he panicked too much before...

Abbygale loves swimming...Daddy & Pop were getting her to swim to one another and she did!!
she loves to stand in Daddy's hands while she balances...she does a good job balancing! then she pushes off backwards and goes under water!
Katelyn has been lil miss independent while in the water, she swims alot by herself prepping for her day of not wearing floaties. She's just 3 inches shorter than Michael so maybe by the end of summer she'll be able to stand on the bottom of the pool...

We stood far behind Daddy while he did target practice with his gun...we are plugging our ears here!

FINALLY! it got dark enough to start the fireworks

Katelyn was soooo happy that she did some cartwheels! Abbygale is plugging her ears again!

Michael told me to take a picture of the moon and it came out pretty clear...you can see some stars!

we had sooo much fun!

this is what happened to Abbygale on the way home! Michael and Katelyn saw some more shows in the surrounding cities during the drive...

after we got in and settled - pajamas & all - we heard some rumbling & popping outside so we went out and our neighbor was shooting off some fireworks - some really high ones! We got another show right in our own backyard, it was cool so we were fortunate - firework from 9:15 until 11 pm...not bad!

Hope you had a pretty awesome 60th birthday, Dad! hope you like your gifts, too. Sorry we couldn't be there to participate in the celebration. Many more to come though!!
