We spent our summer spending time with our friends: going to the beach, swimming, and a Mudcats game!
We went to the beach early August - a last minute decision made the day before!. We woke up at 5 am on a Saturday morning to hit the road by 6 to get to the beach by 8am to be back home by dinner time. If you look closely, the color of the sky is the same color as the ocean - kinda scarey looking. Mark and I got so burned, we blistered. But we had a blast in the process :) We took a break to have a picnic lunch then we were back at the beach for a few more hours then we left go to the local Food Lion (grocery store) and bought ice cream ~ we had a parking lot ice cream party before heading home!

the water was really cool - as in cold - Katelyn was snatched by a crab...Michael was snatched by a crab; you actually saw the claw marks on the side of their foot. And little Emmanuel was stung by a jelly fish - what an experience!
